MelSoulTree (Melissa Rooted in Soul) is a native of New York City. She has been blessed to grace grand stages from Carnegie Hall to Las Vegas and beyond. To date she has performed a variety of music styles throughout the countries of Malaysia, Singapore, France, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Canada and 49 of the 50 United States which spans 5 of the 7 continents.

As a professional musician she has worked with a “Who’s Who” list of legendary musicians of various genres such as: Nile Rodgers, Smokey Robinson, Mickey Stevenson, Darlene Love, Sheila Jordan, Ron Carter, Full Force, Phyllis Joubert’s Glory Gospel Singers (Europe), and Dr. Gregory Hopkins’ Great Voices of Gospel (Harlem & South America) as well as Hip Hop legends Grand Master Flash and Chubb Rock. MelSoulTree has been a featured soloist for The Duke Ellington, Princeton and New York Pops Orchestras. Her most notable recordings were the chart topping and commercially released movie soundtracks of “New Jack City” and “Semi Pro”. MelSoulTree has completed 2 full solo recording projects entitled “Mel-Soul-Tree” and “Sacred Soul”, and is set to release another solo project in the coming year.
